Inspiring Good Equine Welfare
It all begins with an idea. What could we do to inspire people to get out and moving with these small horses? Could we create something that was a lot of fun and promoted good horsemanship? We thought we could, so we got to work creating a series of events to get people excited about things to do with their horses.
However we wanted to create a whole system to help, we know people love their little horses and maybe there was other ways we could help to.
Spring and Autumn are when miniatures can be hard to manage and prone to conditions like laminitis and founder when the grass is to rich for their systems. People’s lives also get busy and horses take a bit of time. We also know that locking up small horses for their own good is not possible for all owners. So we volunteer to take any miniature horses in during these crucial times of the year. They can join our race team, get fit participate in races and go back to their owners fit, slim and when the danger zones for being grass affected have passed.
We will always help take in any miniature horses that have fallen on hard times and get them to a better place or new homes.
